1. Who we are

SEOApex (“SEOApex”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an automated SEO and AI-search visibility platform. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, work email, password hash, website URL. Usage data: pages visited inside the app, articles generated, projects created, IP address and user-agent for security. Billing data: handled by our payment processor; we never store your full card number. Optional data: any text you submit (article topics, project niche, target audience).

3. How we use your data

We use account data to authenticate you, deliver the product, send transactional emails (e.g. trial ending, receipts), prevent abuse, and improve features. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

4. AI providers

When you request an article or AI-citation check, we send the relevant topic / queries to our underlying LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI). They process the request under their own confidentiality terms and do not train their public models on your prompts unless we explicitly opt in.

5. Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies and localStorage to keep you signed in and remember your active project. We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider for aggregate page-view counts (no cross-site tracking).

6. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records).

7. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time from inside Settings. EU/UK/California residents may also request a copy of the data we hold on them. Reach out via our Contact page to exercise these rights.

8. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. We follow the principle of least privilege for internal access and run regular reviews of dependencies and infrastructure.

9. Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy we will notify you by email at least 14 days before changes take effect. The latest version is always available on this page.
